<h2>NES CLassic</h2>
<img src="images/nes/nes.jpg" alt="Nes Classic">
Overview: In 1985 the NES was released in America. In 2016 the NES Classic was released. The NES Classic is an homage to the original NES. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, this tiny console is preloaded with 30 of the original games released on the NES.
[[NES Classic Games]]
[[Consoles]] <h2>Super Nintendo</h2>
<img src="images/snes/snes.jpg" alt="SNES">
Overview: Released in August 1991, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES/Super Nintendo) is a 16-bit video game console for personal use in homes. This console was a major success, outstripping the Sega Genesis by miles.
[[Super Nintendo Games]]
[[Consoles]]<h2>Nintendo 64</h2>
<img src="images/n64/n64.jpg"alt="Nintendo 64">
Overview: The Nintendo 64 (N64) was released in September of 1996. The controllers were of a unique design unlike the world had ever seen or has seen since. With 3 protrusions the player would typically hold the far-right grip with the right hand and either the central or left hand with their other hand.
Accessories: The accessories acquired for the Nintendo 64 in this game collection include Rumble Paks, a memory card plus, and a microphone (not pictured). Rumble Paks brought an extra element of reality to gameplay by vibrating in time to events on the screen. The memory card plus performs exactly as one would expect it to but extending the memory power of the system. Finally, the microphone was used specifically for the game Hey You, Pikachu! which involved vocally communicating with the on-screen Pikachu.

[[Consoles]]<h2>GameCube</h2>
<img src="images/gc/gamecube.jpg"alt="GameCube">
Overview: The Nintendo GameCube (GameCube) was released in November of 2001. This home console was the first of the Nintendo family to run as a disc-based machine rather than cartridges. It also produced the WaveBird, a wireless controller that allowed the player more freedom than the tethered nature of a corded controller.
Accessories: Accessories in this collection include the basics such as memory cards used to store game data, but also a quite uncommon accessory. As seen in the photo above the accessory in question is a miniature tv screen that attaches to the top of the GameCube and allows for a more portable console. All that is needed is a power outlet, which makes this the best accessory for traveling with the system. While this one was acquired virtually for free at a local thrift shop, that kind of acquisition is rare, and they are hard to find online.
[[GameCube Games]]
[[Consoles]] <h2>WiiU</h2>
<img src="images/wiiu/wiiu.jpg"alt="WiiU">
Overview: The WiiU was released in November of 2012. Big selling points included the GamePad which could function as a controller or a second screen, allowing the player to move further away from the console and still play the game. Another selling point was the backwards compatibility with the Wii, allowing for Wii games to be played on the newer system.
[[Wii U Games]]
[[Consoles]] <h2>Wii</h2>
<img src="images/wii/wii.jpg"alt="Wii">
Overview: Released in November 2006, the Wii was as revolutionary as the GameCube. This time with 100 percent wireless controllers and motion controls the Wii was a step forward for gaming technology. One game that took advantage of this was Cooking Mama: Cook Off that used the motion controls to simulate all the motions of baking. Later, the Wii MotionPlus was released which allowed for more precise motion tracking. This was required for certain games such as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Accessories: The main accessory for the Wii in this collection was the Wii Balance Board. This accessory was used for very few games, the most popular of which being Wii Fit, a work out game that encouraged the player to get in motion using the board to track balance during a series of exercises. Another game was Rayman Raving Rabbids which produced the ad campaign “Games you can’t play with your butt”, showing a series of failed activities such as telephone or charades using one’s derriere. The point being that the Rayman Raving Rabbids game used the Wii Balance board by having the player sit on it and use it as a controller for a variety of party games.
[[Wii Games]]
[[Consoles]] <h2>Nintendo Switch</h2>
<img src="images/switch/switch.jpg"alt="Nintendo Switch">
Overview: The Nintendo Switch was released in March of 2017 and took all the best parts of the WiiU and amplified them. This versatile console quickly transforms from tv system to hand held. When in the dock and connected to a tv, remove the Joy-Cons from the sides of the system and sit back to enjoy the game on the big screen. When on the move, slide the Joy-Cons back on the system, remove the whole set up from the cradle and head off to wherever.
Accessories: Accessories in the collection include the Poké Ball Plus and the Ring-Con. The Poké Ball Plus is used with Let’s Go, Pikachu! as another way to control the player. Make sure to use the wrist strap though as this controller may be thrown to simulate catching a Pokémon. The Ring-Con (not pictured) is for use with RingFit Adventure, a fitness game. Similar to its predecessor, Wii Fit, RingFit Adventure is meant to get the player moving, however the approach is different. The Wii Fit limited the player to the board and simple movements where as the RingFit Adventure allows the player to do a variety of movements by strapping one Joy-Con to their left thigh and holding on to a flexible ring holding the other Joy-Con.
